American Airlines Snack Pack
2024 March
This project explores opportunities to introduce more sustainable practices in commercial air travel. Due to international regulations, cabin waste from flights outside the U.S. and Europe cannot be recycled. Drawing inspiration from American Airlines’ former use of ceramic china for meal service, I designed a modular, stackable snack packaging system made of ceramic, chosen for its durability, reusability, and ease of sanitation.
The forms echo American Airlines’ minimalist eagle logo through subtle curves and clean geometry. Designed for efficient in-flight service, the entire set nests neatly, allowing flight attendants to carry and serve it with one hand, enhancing interaction while reducing waste.
